AVIATION ECONOMIST

1. Masters degree in Economics from an accredited University. PhD in Economics desirable.
2. Minimum five years experience in the aviation industry as an economist.
3. Must be a fluent in spoken and written English.
4. Specialized knowledge and experience in:
• Quantitative and qualitative analysis relating to liberalization and competitive issues in the civil aviation industry.
• Economic analysis related to measuring route traffic and profitability factors effecting fare structuring and licensing policies.
• Econometric analysis of air transport issues and the development of economic forecasts for regulatory, policy and corporate planning purposes.
• Development of statistical and economic data for use in bilateral and other international agreement negotiations.
• Specialized statistical analysis software to support economic analysis and forecasting.


ECONOMIC REGULATOR

1. Law degree from an accredited law college.
2. Minimum five years experience in Law (Aviation Regulations) or Corporate Law.
3. Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
4. Specialized knowledge and experience in:
• Developing and updating air transport liberalization policy and strategies.
• Establishing policies and updating procedures for the licensing and regulating of new operators.
• Initial licensing and renewal of air operators.
• Evaluating and assigning routes among competing commercial air carriers.
• Evaluating fare structures to avoid unfair competition.
